hand spring assembly
I ordered two because they are a common failure point in your pistols. The first one I installed did not work the pistol was way too tight and would not index properly. I installed the second and the pistol worked perfectly. I compared the two and the first had a longer spring. it could be made to work with some filing

Always need a spare.
The Rough Rider is a fun gun, but it is inexpensive and the hand & spring assembly are notorious for breaking - 3 times in 20 years. Always keep a spare!

Recently I ordered and replaced the hand and spring assembly that rotates the cylinder. The item was reasonably priced and arrived in a timely manner. With the assistance of a YouTube video it was a fairly simple and relatively quick fix and my revolver is back in action.
