    The stock hammer spring was delivering light primer strikes out of the box. Quickly punched out the old spring and hammered in the new spring. Had to file some minor frame imperfections to allow the spring to have a greater length of travel. Then went shooting. Went from 3/6 to 6/6 functional hammer strikes. My revolver is now "reliable".

    This spring was very hard to install but once I got it in my gun fires great.

    Light strike fix

    Bought a new rough rider (2021) and had light strikes. Probably 3 out of six on every cylinder. Ordered a new hammer spring and haven’t had one since. This is an updated design from what I had. It is a thicker material so make sure you buy a new grip pin also the old one is to big to go through the thicker spring. This is what ur looking for to fix it.

    I have a Rough Rider which was experiencing light strikes. I ordered and installed a new main spring. The situation was corrected. Installation was very easy to do. Any hobbyist could do the replacement.
